Korte Wamsley, Jr. has done and accomplished plenty in the world of business and in life but for him, there has been no greater reward and achievement than spending a short but sweet life with the love of his life, Annette Noel Seeley Wamsley. She died on April 3, 1991, after battling Chronic Myogenic Leukemia for nearly nine years after she and Korte exchanged marriage vows.
When Korte Wamsley, Jr. proposed to Annette, her doctors told him she would have 2 to 3 years to live at best. However, instead of just letting her go to find a new and longer-living love, Korte chose to marry her. After graduating from California State University Sacramento, Korte Wamsley went on to work for Allstate Insurance as an Agent in a Sears store located in Citrus Heights California. He chose Allstate Insurance instead of other companies as his wife was covered under an Allstate Agents Group Plan with her father. Korte wanted to guarantee Annette would be taken care of.
Beating all the odds, Korte and Annette experienced plenty of highs and lows. There were times of hope and despair but the lovers simply bore everything together.
Korte Wamsley, Jr. found a strong drive to be the best agent Allstate Insurance had ever had. He was hired by Allstate in June 1984 and was awarded the Rookie Agent of the Year the same year. He also succeeded at earning every trip available for his achievement and was able to take Annette to New York and Paris, France on Allstate.
Until 1991, Korte Wamsley was able to win every trip level offered and was Agent of the Year every year starting1984 with Allstate Insurance Company. He emerged the 11th out of 26,000 agents nationwide in income and production.
When his wife died in 1991, Korte Wamsley left Allstate Insurance Company to mourn the loss of his sweetheart.
