Korte Wamsley Beating the odds with his love by his side, albeit for a short time, Korte Wamsley has been able to demonstrate how the shortest of love stories can be the sweetest of all. When he proposed to his wife, the late Annette Noel Seeley Wamsley, Korte Wamsley was told by her doctors that she only had two to three years to live at best. Annette was afflicted with Chronic Myogenic Leukemia, a sickness she battled for 9 years longer than their marriage vows. Their short marriage had many highs and lows, all of them related to her sickness. Korte Wamsley, Jr. undertook to give her everything that life had to offer, notwithstanding the circumstances they were dealt with as husband and wife. He worked hard to be the best agent Allstate Insurance had ever had. Hired by the insurance company in June 1984, Korte Wamsley was awarded the Rookie Agent of the Year that same year. Furthermore, he also earned every trip available for his achievement and was able to take Annette to New York and Paris, France on Allstate. During Annette’s blastic crisis in Dec 1990, her doctors told the couple they had done all they could for her. Korte and Annette were informed she would not make it to 1991. To lighten the load on his wife, Korte decided to take her to their favorite beach in Hawaii and call it good. So off they went to Hawaii on December 12, 1990. After enjoying several weeks of good fun and what seemed like a full recovery to them, the couple decided on flight plans to return to the mainland on January 30, 1991. Upon their return, the couple saw Annette’s doctors again. They were as mystified as the couple was that Annette was still alive. It was on April 3, 1991, that Annette’s body did finally give up.
