About Me Currently a full-time University Professor at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, Dr. Geoff Stupay teaches Sociology to undergraduate and graduate students. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. He earned a Master of Science degree in Sociology from Florida State University, which he also attended to complete his Ph. D. in Sociology. Known for being an engaging and strong public speaker, Geoff Stupay keeps current with new strategies and techniques in teaching. He aims to make each class challenging and engaging at the same time. Dr. Stupay reviews curriculum currently in use by the University to determine whether updates are required and which of the same is effective. An accomplished researcher in Social Psychology, Dr. Geoff Stupay is also known for being an innovative thinker. He has been a sought-after mentor to graduate students. Dr. Geoff Stupay is a resourceful academic advisor. He is also a member of the American Sociological Association. He has consistently inspired students with his lectures. Aside from being personable and approachable, Dr. Stupay offers a wealth of talent in the development and implementation of educational technology tools and applications in the classroom. Currently, he is in the final selection stages for the Pershing Grant for Sociological Studies. Dr. Geoff Stupay has been deeply invested in the achievement of tenure through administrative service committee contributions. He also pursues an accomplishment-oriented approach to teaching. He has given lectures, provided student mentoring, participated in conferences, served on a variety of faculty committees, performed research, developed learning strategies, and managed material resources as part of his work at the University. In preparing course materials such as syllabi, handouts, and homework assignments, Dr. Geoff Stupay makes sure his students learn much from the same and are able to apply the principles he has imparted in completing them.
